With its WiMAX business unit Pack One having obtained one of Malaysia's four 2.3GHz spectrum licenses, Malaysia-based mobile broadband networking solutions provider Green Packet plans to launch WiMAX service across Malaysia by the end of June 2008, thus becoming the first Malaysian WiMAX operator to deliver commercial service, Dow Jones News reported on May 2.

Aiming to create synergy in developing the WiMAX business, Packet One has been seeking a strategic investor and expects to secure the desired partnership by the end of September 2008, according to the same report.
